Ford began producing heavy trucks in 1970, in Louisville, Kentucky. These trucks are often referred to as “Louisville’s” because of this. Offering many different styles, Ford trucks were popular, and many are still in use today. Ford quit making heavy trucks in 1998 and sold the heavy truck division to Freightliner.
